Suspend disbelief and snuggle up with the right balance of true love and tragedy for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
It was never going to be an easy job to take this book down from its pedestal and turn it into a film.
Watching it as a fan of the novel, it is impossible not to criticise the thin plot, two dimensional characters and absent scenes.
