There have been a couple of attempts at turning this very grand Georgian house into an Indian restaurant. Neither lasted very long, but – undaunted – new proprietors have spent a great deal of money to turn this into quite a palace (if not one, to any obvious extent, of an Indian variety). read more

Sitting comfortably under the Dockmasters indian restaurant, The Soul Cellar is a late night bar with a confused vision.

On the one hand the historic brickwork, expensive drinks and Georgian exterior gives the place a trump card that no other Docklands bar can match. On the other, however, the trashy clientele and tacky DJs make you wish you'd never played cards in the first place.

The phrase 'You get what you pay for' is not relevant whatsoever to The Soul Cellar. The potential is there but until the management discover this it's a place to avoid. With so many bars around the Wharf, why pay more for less?

Visited this restaurant with a group of 4 people. This was one of the worst curries I have ever had, in fact one of the worst meals ever. Food was very low quality, portions were very small, there was zero atmosphere and poor service. No variety in the menu, you could find better at you local supermarket... stay away from this place if you can!
